How to get a recommendation for your organization

Written by Yara Ouertani

Recommendations build trust. They show other Spheriq users that your organization works reliably and creates impact.

They can help you establish credibility, particularly among funding organizations, partners, and individuals who are not yet familiar with your organization.

Who can you ask for a recommendation?

Ideally, ask people or organizations that have firsthand experience of your work. For example:

  • Funding partners

  • Project partners

  • Organizations you have worked with

  • People who are well placed to assess your work professionally

How to proceed

  1. Select two or three suitable contacts.

  2. Send them a brief, personal request for a recommendation.

  3. Share the link to your organization profile.

  4. Let them know that they can click “Recommend” on your profile.

Message template

Hello [Name],

We would like to strengthen our organization’s public profile and highlight how our work is perceived by our partners.

Since you are familiar with our work, we would greatly appreciate a brief recommendation from you.

You can submit your recommendation directly on our Spheriq profile by clicking the “Recommend” button: [Link to organization profile]

A few sentences are more than enough; for example, about your experience of working with us.

Thank you very much and kind regards,

What makes a good recommendation?

A good recommendation is brief, specific, and based on genuine experience. Comments about your organization’s collaboration, communication, reliability, or impact are particularly valuable.
