Difference: Submitting a grant request online vs. using the grant request wizard

Submit your grant request online or on paper by using the grant request wizard

Digital & directly in the system:

You can submit grant requests to participating funding organizations/funders directly via their profile on spheriq.ch.

Integrated into grant request & funding management: The entire process – from submission to status tracking to overview – is completely digital and part of Spheriq's web-based workflow.

Proactive input guidance: The system shows you whether you have entered all the necessary information in the organization and project profile. You can add any missing data directly.

Status overview and communication: In your grant request overview, you can conveniently track drafts, submitted grant requests, approvals, and rejections. Labels, tags, and network functions also support the process.

Submit via the request wizard (for paper grant requests):

For funding foundations/funders without a digital submission process: If a funding organization does not offer an online form on Spheriq, the grant wizard can still help you.

Create dossier & cover letter: It automatically generates your project dossier and a cover letter based on your existing information on the platform.

Editing & exporting: You can review and edit the cover letter and export it as a Word or PDF file. The entire dossier can also be exported for printing or sending by email/post.

Manual delivery required: Important: The system does not send the grant request — you must do this yourself. After sending, you can change the status of the grant request in your overview from “Draft” to “Submitted” so that you always have an overview.

Also worth mentioning: Grant requests created with the request wizard are also displayed in the grant request overview. You must change the status of these yourself, as the funding organization does not update the status automatically – unlike grant requests submitted online.
