How do I start my own fundraising campaign on SpendenSchweiz?

Any registered user, as well as any nonprofit organization, can set up a fundraising campaign on "SpendenSchweiz" to benefit an organization or project listed on our donation platform.

Setting up a fundraiser like this is incredibly easy: First, click here, then follow the steps below:


1. Name and Description: Write a clear title and a concise description so that people can quickly understand your motivation for the fundraiser.
2. Cover photo: This visual element should not only grab attention but also symbolize the fundraiser, as it serves, for example, as a preview image of your campaign when you share it on social media.
When selecting the image, please ensure that no copyrights are infringed. For personal photos, only people who have consented to the publication of the image should be visible.
3. Type of fundraising campaign: What is the occasion for your fundraising appeal? A milestone birthday? A challenge, such as a half-marathon? Potential donors are more likely to be motivated to donate by a specific personal occasion.


4. The duration: Specify the start and end dates of your fundraising campaign.
5. Fundraising goal: If you want to set a specific fundraising goal, make sure it remains realistic and motivates potential donors to support you in reaching it.


6. Beneficiaries: You can select up to three organizations or projects listed on "SpendenSchweiz" to which the proceeds from your campaign will be donated.
Please do not collect donations for yourself, other individuals, or an organization that is not listed on the donation platform. We would have to immediately stop and remove such a fundraising campaign.

7. Thank-you message: Don’t forget to write a friendly thank-you message that makes donors feel they made the right decision with their donation and supported a worthy cause.

As soon as you publish the fundraiser, the selected organizations will receive a message from us informing them that they have been chosen to participate. Once the fundraiser is over, you and each of the organizations will receive a summary of the funds raised. The total amount will then be divided among the selected organizations and transferred by us.

IMPORTANT: Simply setting up a fundraiser isn't enough. Now you need to promote it, share it on your personal and social media networks, and encourage others to share your fundraiser as well. Be sure to use the social sharing buttons located below the donate button.
